1. License Grant

By purchasing a WP 1 Click LockDown license, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the plugin according to your license tier:

Single Site: Use on one WordPress installation only
Starter (5 Sites): Use on up to 5 WordPress installations
Agency (25 Sites): Use on up to 25 WordPress installations
Lifetime: Use on unlimited WordPress installations

Each license key is valid for one unique installation as determined by WordPress site URL. Transferring a license key to multiple sites without purchasing additional licenses is a violation of this agreement.

2. License Duration

Annual licenses (Single Site, Starter, Agency) are valid for 12 months from purchase. You must renew your license for continued support and updates. The Lifetime license is valid indefinitely on WP 1 Click LockDown 1.x. We reserve the right to create a WP 1 Click LockDown 2.0 with different licensing terms in the future.

3. Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with WP 1 Click LockDown for any reason within 30 days of purchase, you are entitled to a full refund of your purchase price.

To request a refund, email support@wp1clicklockdown.com with your license key and reason for the refund. We will process refunds within 5 business days to the original payment method.

Refunds are not available for renewal purchases beyond the original 30-day window or for licenses that have been used for extended periods.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use WP 1 Click LockDown for any illegal, harmful, or unethical purposes, including:

Bypassing or disabling security features of other systems
Using it on sites that violate laws or regulations
Reselling or distributing the plugin without a valid license
Sharing license keys across multiple websites or users
Attempting to reverse-engineer or modify the plugin code
Using it to harm, harass, or defame others

Violation of this section may result in immediate license termination without refund.

5. Warranty Disclaimer

WP 1 Click LockDown is provided "as is" without any warranty, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the plugin will prevent all security incidents, hacks, malware, or attacks. No security measure can guarantee 100% protection.

We specifically disclaim:

Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
Guarantees that the plugin works with all themes and plugins
Guarantees of compatibility with future WordPress versions
Liability for undetected security breaches or hacks

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall WP 1 Click LockDown be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or business interruption, arising from your use or inability to use the plugin, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability under this agreement shall not exceed the amount you paid for the license.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WP 1 Click LockDown from any claims, damages, losses, or liabilities arising from your use of the plugin, your violation of this agreement, or your violation of applicable law.

8. Support and Updates

WP 1 Click LockDown includes email support during the license term. Support is provided on a best-effort basis, typically within 24 hours. We provide regular updates and security patches for the duration of your license.

After your license expires, you can still use the plugin, but you will not receive updates, security patches, or support. We strongly recommend renewing your license to maintain security.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your license immediately if you violate the Acceptable Use section or engage in illegal activity. Termination is at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use WP 1 Click LockDown ends, but the plugin will continue to function (without updates or support).

10. Intellectual Property

WP 1 Click LockDown is licensed software. You may not claim ownership of the plugin, its code, or its documentation. All intellectual property rights remain with the creator. You have no rights except those explicitly granted in your license.

11. Data Retention

Your site data (login attempts, spam logs, security events) is stored on your server and controlled by you. We do not retain this data on our servers. License verification data is retained for license validation purposes.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except for claims involving intellectual property, which may be brought in court. Arbitration will be conducted in English according to neutral rules.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where WP 1 Click LockDown is operated, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of WP 1 Click LockDown after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify you of material changes via email if you have provided an email address.
