How to Install WP 1 Click LockDown

Method 1: Install via WordPress Admin (Recommended)

1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
2. Navigate to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
3. Click Choose File and select the wp1clicklockdown-v2.1.0.zip file you downloaded.
4. Click Install Now.
5. Once installed, click Activate Plugin.
6. Navigate to Tools → WP 1 Click LockDown to open the settings dashboard.

Method 2: Install via FTP

1. Download the plugin ZIP file from your WP 1 Click LockDown account.
2. Unzip the file on your computer. You should have a folder named wp1clicklockdown.
3. Connect to your server via FTP (FileZilla, Cyberduck, etc.).
4. Upload the wp1clicklockdown folder to /wp-content/plugins/ on your server.
5. Log in to WordPress admin → Plugins → Installed Plugins.
6. Find WP 1 Click LockDown and click Activate.

Method 3: Install via WP-CLI

wp plugin install /path/to/wp1clicklockdown-v2.1.0.zip --activate

System Requirements

• WordPress 5.8 or higher
• PHP 7.4 or higher (PHP 8.0+ recommended)
• Any hosting environment — shared, VPS, cloud, or managed WordPress
• Compatible with Multisite networks (single-site activation or network-wide)

Next Steps After Installation

Once installed and activated, visit Tools → WP 1 Click LockDown and click Apply 1-Click Preset. This applies all recommended security settings automatically. You can then review and customise individual settings as needed.
